MTR Kwu Tung Site Visit

28 June 2025, we had an incredible opportunity to explore the construction works at the MTR Kwu Tung Site. A big thank you to everyone who joined us for this insightful event.

Key Highlights from the Visit:

 • Construction within an operating underground railway tunnel requires innovative technical solutions and strict safety measures to ensure smooth progress without disrupting East Rail Line operations.

 • Groundwater control is critical, managed through an advanced dewatering system and an underslab pressure relief system to maintain soil and groundwater equilibrium during excavation.

 • Continuous tunnel monitoring is implemented via a web-based automated system that provides real-time alerts, enabling rapid responses to any abnormalities in tunnel movement.
