HK‑TWf Site Visit Recap

On 8 Nov 2025, HK‑TWf members visited SCL Contract 11286 – Pedestrian Link Connecting Pak Tai Street and Sung Wong Toi Station.

Two smart engineering moves caught everyone’s eye:

✅ Smarter ELS design – Raising the final excavation level allowed the removal of one strut layer, saving time, cost, and complexity. 👏

✅ SPMT footbridge installation – A safety‑by‑design method that reduced lifting risks and minimised disruption to the busy neighbourhood. 👏

Beyond the technical wins, it was inspiring to connect, share knowledge, and see innovation shaping Hong Kong’s infrastructure in real time.
